These Donna Hay sticky buns are certainly the most beautiful of all the cinnamon rolls so far. And simple. But they weren’t perfect. My husband branded them a little dry, which is probably the fault of using the wrong sized pan and not the recipe at all.
But I really liked the idea of making a soft compound butter to spread across instead of the messy melted butter concoctions of everyone else. And I am really distracted by her recipe for orange & whiskey ones. Will be trying those before I move on… (And if it works out will post the recipe.)
And for sure the compound butter is an element in the final version!
