Tonight is the second time this year that I’ve been back at writing group. A complete revision of Dr Gold and the Rose Elixir is one of this year’s projects. The truth is that I was resisting a re-write. Got to the end of my melodrama and realised that the word count barely qualified for a novella. Alas a lack a day. Made me want to crawl back into bed and tug all the covers over my head. But now I am getting back in the groove. Fixing typos, strengthening characters, and adding sentences… Seeing as how, when I started writing, I only was sure of the climactic scene with a carefully furious Dr Gold breaking glass in cave and hadn’t even decided whose side the mysterious and gorgeous Mr Darcy was on, it makes sense that I have a big whack of revision to do now. Full steam ahead!
